About Me

St. Peter Music Ministry Rehearsal Tracks

Experience

For the past 30+ years, I have studied the piano, though I am not just a professional pianist.  I also play trumpet, organ, and am an accomplished composer.  All of my music is for sale, so please don't hesitate to inquire.

Spending  almost a year in New York was a wonderful experience!

I had the privilege to work with many great actors, actresses, and musicians during my time at Cohoes Music Hall. We put on many wonderful shows during my time as music director, and I loved every minute of it!

Ryan Bolinger is a composer originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and has written many works for piano, choir, and chamber ensembles.  In 2012, Bolinger was commissioned to write "In A Garden" for John Burroughs School's trip to Austria, where it was performed in Vienna and Salzburg.  In 2010, his Sonatina was published in a Southeast Missouri State University composition publication. In all, Bolinger has composed over thirty pieces and over twenty arrangements in his brief career in composition.

Bolinger also enjoys a strong performance career as a pianist.  In 2004, he won the MMTA(Missouri Music Teachers Association) upper division piano competition, and in 2005 was an honorable mention in the same competition.  Bolinger has performed with the Southeast Missouri State University Orchestra, the Southeast Missouri Piano Trio, the Southeast Missouri Wind Symphony, the Southeast Missouri Studio Jazz Band, the Webster University New Music Ensemble, and many others.  When he isn't performing with major groups, Bolinger is usually performing at an area high school concert, a regional theater, or for soloists in competition.  Aside from solo performances, Bolinger is also in demand as an accompanist and music director.

Bolinger earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006.  He then earned in 2012 a Master of Music in Music Composition from Webster University in St. Louis, MO.  Over the years, he has studied with James Sifferman, Robert Fruehwald, Paul Alberts, Bob Chamberlin, Kendall Stallings, and Kim Portnoy.
